SNC Day is an annual campus-wide celebration for St. Norbert College’s students, alumni, and their families. In 2023, I was asked by the Art Department to design a screenprint for the event. “Do Justice, Love Kindness, Walk Humbly” was the focus, based around Micah 6:8.
I initially started with rough thumbnail sketches, seeing what ideas could work far away. After deciding which designs would work best compositionally, I started to flesh out the designs a bit more in Illustrator. While I started with a more sleek, Y2k feeling, the design ended up more straightforward with heavily textured, stretched out sans-serif typography, evoking a brutalist-inspired aesthetic.
